The SM81�s flat 20-20k response makes it supremely accurate in its reproduction of audio sources. A 3-position bass roll-off switch reduces low-end energy, thus suiting the 81 to any acoustic environment. Additional features include a 10dB attenuator, cardioid pattern, and replaceable condenser capsule. Excellent for acoustic guitar/bass, cymbals, live recording, piano, orchestra, strings, sampling, woodwinds, and stereo pickup.
